excellent year-round concentration of animals, the camp lies directly in the path of Africa's spectacular Great Migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra from
the Serengeti, Tanzania, to the Masai Mara in Kenya. This is indeed nature at her most theatrical, offering an unsurpassed African wildlife experience. Situated at the foot of the
Oloololo Escarpment on the western border of the Masai Mara Reserve in southwestern Kenya.

This superb lodge, in a spectacular location, just outside the Masai Mara Game Reserve, in Koyiaki Group Ranch, is directly on the wildebeest migration route, near the two most
famous Mara River crossing points. The area plays host to herds of elephants, buffaloes and giraffes, plus prides of lions and the wallowing hippos at 'Hippo Bend Lagoon'.
Royal Mara guests are spoilt as they sunbathe on the open verandah in chaises longues or dine on delicious haute cuisine along the riverfront, whilst watching the hippos
wallow in the water. On the banks of the Mara River, in the northwest of the Masai Mara ecosystem.
Facilities:
Offers fine food in the dining area and varied wildlife dining arrangements plus in-suite dining. High quality meals and all bakery items and desserts are prepared daily.
Activities include game drives in 4WD vehicles, escorted walking safaris, wildlife viewing in the camp grounds, Masai village excursions and school visits.

8 luxury riverfront suites (3 adults) which are positioned on raised wooden decks with protective railings (hippos sometimes graze between the suites after
sundown). All suites have hand-carved king-size or double beds, carved desks, dining table, en suite bathroom with shower, mini bar, electronic safe, lounge area and verandah
with chaise longue. The tent canvas wall frontage can be opened completely to afford a spectacular open river view.

Offering an authentic 'yesteryear' experience for visitors wishing to gain that little extra from their safari. Set on the banks of the Mara River where zebras, elephants and hippos come
to drink throughout the day. Long gone are the days when staying in a tented camp meant roughing it. You will find that the Karen Blixen Camp experience is a step back in time with
the luxury of today. Situated on the border of the Masai Mara Reserve, with the great Mara plains behind the camp and the impressive escarpment and Mara River in front.

22 spacious tents (2 adults and 2 children) set on large mahogany platforms – each with outdoor shower and verandah on which you can enjoy an afternoon
