This exciting 7-night safari, which is conducted in
a 4-wheel drive vehicle, will ensure encounters with
a superb amount of animals and birdlife, whilst
you are comfortably accommodated in award-
winning Serena properties.
Sweetwaters is in the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy,
set in the extensive savannah grasslands and riverine
forests that border the Ewaso Nyiro River. At the
forefront of the Kenyan conservancy program, Ol
Pejeta boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in
East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in
Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and
endangered species.
Then travel to Lake Elementeita in the Great Rift
Valley, where there is a wide variety of bird life.
The small and exclusive Lake Elmenteita Serena
Camp, which opened in July 2011, offers
spectacular views over the landscape to the lake.
Finally, the magnificent Masai Mara, home to
countless species including the 'big five'.

Sunday
Nairobi
Met at Nairobi airport and transferred to the Nairobi
Serena Hotel for overnight.
Day 2
Monday
Sweetwaters
After breakfast drive to your camp at Sweetwaters in
time for lunch (220 km – approximately 3 hours 30
minutes). The afternoon is at leisure. A selection of
optional excursions are available (payable locally).

Day 3
Tuesday
Sweetwaters
Enjoy an early morning game drive in the wonderful
Sweetwaters Sanctuary. After breakfast, time to relax
before lunch. An afternoon game drive with visits to the
delightful Chimp and Rhino sanctuary. Overnight:

Day 4
Wednesday
Lake Elementeita
After breakfast drive to Lake Elementeita, a bird lovers
paradise where an estimated 300 bird species have been
spotted (265 km – approximately 3 hours 30 minutes).
Enjoy lunch and some leisure time, maybe a swim in the
pool or a relaxing massage. An afternoon game drive in
Soysambu Conservancy with a chance to encounter
some of the birds and wildlife that abound. Overnight:

Day 5
Thursday
Lake Elementeita
Enjoy a Lake Breakfast where delicious fare is served
beside Lake Elementeita whilst you enjoy the fabulous
scenery. The rest of the day is at leisure, with the chance
to enjoy one of the varied optional excursions on offer
(payable locally). Alternatively, you can enjoy a game
drive in Lake Nakuru National Park (book and pay for
prior to departure – $250 per person). This fenced park
provides sanctuary to one of the largest populations of
rhinos in Kenya, plus it is home to lions, Rothschild
giraffes and leopards. Overnight: Lake Elmenteita Serena

Day 6
Friday
Masai Mara
After breakfast drive to the world-famous Masai Mara
in time for lunch at the fabulous Mara Serena Lodge
(360 km – approximately 5 hours 30 minutes). In the
afternoon enjoy an exciting game drive in this game-
filled park. Overnight: Mara Serena Safari Lodge. (b,l,d)
Day 7
Saturday
Masai Mara
A further day in the magnificent Masai Mara. Enjoy a
game drive followed by breakfast at the camp, or an
early morning balloon safari over the Mara followed by a
'bubbly' bush breakfast (payable locally). The rest of the
morning is at leisure before lunch and a game drive.
Overnight: Mara Serena Safari Lodge. (b,l,d)
Day 8
Sunday
Extension or USA
After breakfast drive to Nairobi (335 km – approximately
5 hours), or fly from the Mara to Nairobi: morning flight
(from $295) or lunch in the Mara and afternoon flight
(from $420). Proceed with your chosen extension or
return to the USA. (b)
Alternatively, fly directly from the Mara to Mombasa,
including lunch in the Mara (from $575).
