Tortilis Camp

Tortilis Camp is named after the tortilis acacia tree and is a charming rustic tented camp built into the side of a hill, facing the foothills of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro. The
friendly staff, drawn from the local Masai community, are dedicated to offering a truly memorable stay. Game drives, guided bush walks, bush meals and sundowners are conducted
both inside the park and within a private 30,000 acre game concession. Situated on the edge of Amboseli National Game Reserve, on the southern border of Kenya, renowned for
having the best views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Facilities:
Offers a spacious dining room, bush breakfasts, hilltop sundowners and delicious recipes taken from the family cookbook and served with fresh salads and herbs grown in
the camp. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, game drives, bush walks and massages.
Accommodation:
16 spacious tents with king or twin beds, each with an en elegant en suite bathroom with shower, and a large verandah (2 adults and 1 child). There is also a family
tent with a large verandah, which has 1 double en suite bedroom and 1 twin en suite bedroom, both of which can fit one extra bed for children under the age of 16 years.
Board Basis:
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea with homemade cakes/biscuits and dinner.

Amboseli Serena Lodge

The lodge is framed against the glorious backdrop of the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro and surrounded by miles of rolling grasslands, patrolled by vast herds of
elephants. Secluded within a grove of acacia trees, the lodge looks out over the golden savannah plains, with uninterrupted views of the mountain. Close by are a series of
emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. With very few other sources of water in this otherwise starkly beautiful but arid park, they attract
huge numbers of elephants, hippos, buffalos and plains game.
Facilities:
The central dining area, offering international cuisine, buffets and barbeques, is reached by a timbered bridge over a melt-water stream, while the lounge and bar
feature a broad terrace and a blazing fire-pit where evening cocktails can be enjoyed. At the heart of the lodge, is a free-form swimming pool; to either side of which stretch the
rooms. Leisure facilities include game drives, sundowners, traditional feasts and tribal dancing. There is a gift shop where souvenirs can be purchased. Board Games and a library
of Africana books are also available. Guided nature walks or bird-watching walks can be arranged, as can visits to local Masai villages with the chance to buy Masai handicrafts.

92 air-conditioned rooms with bath/shower facilities (2 adults and 1 child). Family rooms and suites are also available. Each room is housed in a single story
building opening directly on to the grounds, each reflecting a Masai manyatta theme with hand-painted wall frescos.

Ol Tukai Lodge

Lying at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, among yellow barked acacia trees and cream slate, this lodge blends perfectly into the African savannah and is in a marvellous spot for
elephant watching. Constructed in true Masai style, the architecture is unobtrusive with lots of wood, local slate and stone.
Facilities:
The restaurant opens onto a verandah, and on most days elephants, zebras and buffaloes can be spotted meters away from the fence whilst you eat your meal. Theme
nights are held throughout the week and include barbecues and Swahili fish menus. Indian and vegetarian meals are also a speciality. There is a Pool Bar, an open-air Elephant Bar
above which is a roof level deck offering a splendid panorama of the marshlands and Mount Kilimanjaro. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool with pool deck, table tennis, a
selection of board games and a massage salon.
Accommodation:
80 luxury twin rooms with terraces and views of the wetlands or Mount Kilimanjaro. All rooms have en suite shower, telephone & safe. The exclusive Kibo Villa is
also available, a self-contained log cabin with three luxurious en suite rooms, roof terrace and jacuzzi. Children are welcome at Ol Tukai. Most bedrooms can accommodate an extra
bed and baby cots are available on request. A special children's menu and early supper is also available. Our resident Masai will be glad to entertain your children with traditional folk
stories whilst you enjoy a relaxing dinner.
