This itinerary presents some of the absolute highlights of Kenya. Start your adventure in the picturesque Aberdares Range where you will stay in a amazing and unique lodge on the slopes of Mwega Hill. Next you will head to Samburu, which is home to some of the most unique wildlife in Kenya and a host of birds, and Buffalo Springs. After another night in the Aberdares, you will vist Lake Naivasha. The last stop on your safari tour is the Masai Mara, famed for its vast numbers of plains game and the spectacular big cats. You will stay in a stunning camp, which offers an unrivalled position for wildlife spotting, and is close to the action during the annual wildebeest migration.
Day 1 - Monday - Aberdares
Met on arrival at Nairobi Airport and transferred to the Eka Hotel to freshen up before departing for the Aberdares (180 km). Arrive at the charming Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch and proceed to the Ark.
Spend the afternoon relaxing on the deck overlooking the waterhole.

Day 2 - Tuesday - Samburu
Drive north across the equator to the Samburu National Reserve (190 km). Arrive at your camp and enjoy lunch and settle in before heading out again for a late afternoon game drive in the Buffalo Springs Game Reserve.

Day 3 - Wednesday - Samburu
In the morning you will head out on a game drive to explore Samburu National Reserve made up of open savannah traversed by the Ewaso Nyiro River.
The river is populated by hippos and crocodiles, whilst the park is home to a host of animals including several species which are rarely seen in numbers elsewhere, including Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffes and long-necked gerenuks.
After a delicious lunch you will be taken on another lunch late afternoon game drive in the Buffalo Springs Game Reserve.

Day 4 - Thursday - Aberdares
Depart after breakfast and travel to the Aberdares (190 kms) and the Aberdare Country Club. After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Solio Game Reserve, a wildlife conservancy which plays a major role in the protection of black rhinos.

Day 5 - Friday - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, descend into the Great Rift Valley and continue to Lake Naivasha (200 km). Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch followed by afternoon boat ride on the Lake.

Day 6 - Saturday - Masai Mara
See what animals you can spot during your drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve (320 km). Arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive with one of Somak's knowledgable driver guides who will ensure you have the best opportunities to see a wide range of game.

Day 7 - Sunday - Masai Mara
Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the camp.
Then head back out after lunch to explore more of the majestic Mara's wealth of wildlife.
Alternate option for this day (extra payable in advance):
Take an early morning balloon flight over the Mara followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast then enjoy a game drive before heading back to camp for a delicious hot lunch.

Then head back out after lunch to explore more of the majestic Mara's wealth of wildlife.

Alternatively, fly directly from the Masai Mara to Mombasa, including lunch in the Masai Mara (price on request).

Extend your holiday to a hotel on the Kenyan Coast of Mombasa or to one of the fabulous Zanzibar beach hotels, for a relaxing end to this safari.
