Somak Special Offers
This is Botswana at its most remote, two wilderness camps, one reached only by helicopter, before the pace shifts to the Zambezi and the roar of Victoria Falls.
This eight-night journey moves through some of southern Africa's least crowded wilderness, starting deep in the Okavango Delta at Mokolwane Camp, where leopard density is among the highest recorded anywhere in Africa and the nearest other camp is nowhere in sight. From there it's on to Meno a Kwena, perched above the Boteti River, where the game viewing happens from your tent as easily as out on a drive, and where a walk with the Ju! Hoansi San community adds a cultural layer few itineraries reach. The trip closes at Waterberry Zambezi Lodge, close enough to Victoria Falls for an easy visit but tucked away from the noise of the town, with days given over to river cruises, fishing and birding. It's a trip built for travellers who want genuine seclusion and space over polish, with just enough contrast between stops to keep each one distinct.

Why You’ll Love This Trip!
You'll love this trip because it never once feels like anywhere else. There's something quietly thrilling about arriving at Mokolwane by helicopter, knowing you're in one of the highest concentrations of leopard anywhere in Africa, with nothing but 180,000 hectares of wilderness around you. At Meno a Kwena you can watch elephants come down to drink from your own tent, then spend an afternoon walking with the Ju! Hoansi and hearing what it means to have lived alongside this land for thousands of years. And just when you think you've had your fill of silence and space, Waterberry brings you back towards the world, close enough to feel the spray of Victoria Falls but calm enough that you'll still have the Zambezi mostly to yourselves. It's a trip for anyone who wants their safari to feel personal rather than programmed.
