Day 1 - Cape Town
Fly overnight to Cape Town.
Days 2-4 - Cape Town
Met on arrival and transferred to your hotel.
Spend 3 nights at leisure, exploring this vibrant city. A variety of pre-bookable excursions are available.

Day 5 - Garden Route, Hermanus
Commence self-drive along the Garden Route.
Collect your hire car from downtown Cape Town Avis depot (on request, hire car can be dropped to your hotel, additional charges apply to be settled locally).
Depart for Hermanus, known as one of the top whale-watching destinations in the world. Southern Right Whales are present in the bay from June - November. Calving takes place in August and September, and the whale population peaks in October. Spend the afternoon whale watching from the 12km Cliff Path which offers brilliant land-based whale watching viewpoints, or book a whale watching boat trip.

Mossel Bay is considered to be the start of the Garden Route and is a harbour town in the Western Cape Province.
Things to do around this region: Make the most of the pristine blue flag beaches, explore the local town, and enjoy water sports or land-based activities such as cycling, hiking or horse riding.

Day 7 - Garden Route, Oudtshoorn
Depart after breakfast, stopping along the way until you reach the 'feather capital of the world', Oudtshoorn, famous for its huge ostrich industry.
Things to do around Oudtshoorn: Visit an ostrich farm for an informative tour or explore the fascinating and beautiful Cango Caves, which are Africa's largest show cave system. Also worth a visit is the Cango Wildlife Ranch, an endangered species special breeding facility and the oldest and largest cheetah contact centre.

Day 8 - Garden Route, Knysna
Continue to Knysna, famous for its stunning lagoon setting and friendly town vibe, a wonderful seaside town. Your base here is for 2 nights to explore the region.
Things to do around Knysna: Book an optional tour of the local Featherbed Reserve which includes a cruise across Knysna Lagoon, drive up to the Knysna Heads to admire the view, visit Leisure and Thesen Island for a coffee or lunch break, explore the local beaches such as Buffels Bay or Brenton on Sea, take a leisurely drive round to neighbouring Plettenberg Bay.Meals : Breakfast
Day 9 - Garden Route, Knysna
Full day of exploration around this wonderful region.

Day 10 - Garden Route, Port Elizabeth
Depart for Port Elizabeth, along the way take the opportunity to stop by Storms River Nature Valley or the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park.

Days 11-12 - Eastern Cape Safari
After breakfast, continue to the Eastern Cape safari region and to your chosen accommodation. Leave the car at the accommodation and enjoy game viewing by the lodge's vehicle.
Day 13 - Depart
Drive to Port Elizabeth and drop of the hire car at the airport. Connect to your flight to the UK, or continue with your onward arrangements.
