Amboseli National Park in southern Kenya is known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. The area is a renowned wildlife conservation area and is home to varied animals including giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and over 400 species of birds. The next stop on your tour is Lake Naivasha a Great Rift Valley lake, renowned for its incredible biodiversity. See waterbuck, hippos, and both Vervet & Colobus monkeys. Drink in the vast surroundings of your resort next to the freshwater lake, where over 450 species of birds have been documented, offering superb opportunities to observe a diverse array of water birds, including storks, pelicans, and ducks. Your safari culminates with a two-night stay in the renowned Masai Mara, a vast expanse of preserved savannah wilderness located in southwestern Kenya, bordering Tanzania. This iconic destination is home to an impressive array of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and hippos. The area is also a key stop for wildebeest during their spectacular annual migration, which traverses the plains in a breathtaking display of nature's grandeur.











Day 1 - Sunday - Amboseli
Welcome to Kenya! Upon your arrival at Nairobi Airport, you will be greeted with a warm smile by one of Somak?s drivers. After a smooth transfer to Eka Hotel where you can enjoy some light refreshments, you will be given a short safari briefing to ensure you are properly prepared for your exciting Kenyan safari. As you leave the city behind, embark on a scenic drive towards Amboseli National Park, located 250 km away.
You will arrive in time for lunch at you lodge, right alongside the Kimana Gate park entrance. After settling in you will head out for the first of your African game drives in a well-equipped 4x4 in the care of one of our knowledgeable and experienced driver guides. Set beneath the towering presence of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli covers 3,810 square kilometres in southern Kenya. This wild landscape is home to elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, Maasai giraffes, and buffalo. The plains are alive with Burchell?s zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, and impala, while the drier areas shelter gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx. You may also spot vervet monkeys, yellow baboons, jackals, hyenas, and bat-eared foxes, making every moment on your game drive a rewarding experience. Day 2 - Monday - Amboseli
Rise early for an exhilarating game drive as dawn breaks over Amboseli National Park. Marvel at the large herds of elephants and other wildlife as they come to life in the soft morning light.
After your adventure, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge before spending the day at leisure. Treat yourself to a soothing spa treatment (own cost), or relax by the pool. Consider some off the additional activities* like a guided nature walk or bird-watching excursion. Following a delightful lunch, embark on another thrilling afternoon game drive, where more wildlife encounters await.*Additional activites at own cost

Day 3 - Tuesday - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, embark on a scenic road transfer from Amboseli into the Great Rift Valley to your lodge at Lake Naivasha (350km). You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge where you'll drink in the exquisite views and the soothing sounds of nature.
Lake Naivasha, the highest of the Great Rift Valley lakes, has been described as the "Jewel in the Crown" of East African lakes. Renowned for its remarkable birdlife - some 450 bird species have been recorded - the lake is also home to a large population of hippos, often seen wallowing in the shallows or grazing along the shore at night. Surrounding the lake, acacia woodlands and grasslands attract a wealth of other wildlife, including giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, waterbuck, and monkeys. With its scenic beauty and rich diversity, Lake Naivasha is a haven for both wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers. The afternoon is yours to explore the resort's many offerings, including optional activities*. Unwind with a rejuvenating spa treatment, embark on a biking adventure, or take a leisurely stroll to the lake, where you can indulge in some of the best birdwatching in the region which boasts hundreds of species. Day 4 - Wednesday - Masai Mara
Following an early breakfast, travel to the legendary Masai Mara Game Reserve. Covering 270 km, this trip will take you through villages and diverse landscapes. Once you enter the reserve start looking out for possible wildlife sightings as you travel into one of the world?s most iconic wildlife theatres.
A true haven for wildlife enthusiasts, the Masai Mara offers some of Africa?s most remarkable animal encounters. The reserve is famous for its impressive populations of the large cats and large mammals like elephant and rhinos, as well as cheetahs, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeest during the migration. Each game drive brings the possibility of witnessing lions resting in the shade, elephants roaming the plains, or hippos and crocodiles along the riverbanks. After lunch take some time to unwind at your camp before venturing out on an exhilarating late-afternoon game drive. With its rich diversity and ever-changing scenes, the Mara promises unforgettable moments for anyone passionate about wildlife. Day 5 - Thursday - Masai Mara
Immerse yourself in the wonders of the Mara on an early morning game drive as the African bush awakens, followed by a delicious breakfast at camp. After lunch, set out again to explore the Mara's incredible wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.
Alternate option for this day (extra payable in advance):
Experience the magic of the Mara from a whole new perspective with an unforgettable early morning hot air balloon flight. Soar above the vast plains as the sun rises, casting golden hues over the landscape teeming with wildlife. After landing, indulge in a luxurious 'bubbly' bush breakfast in the heart of the wilderness. Continue your adventure with a scenic game drive en route back to camp, where lunch awaits to complete your extraordinary morning.

Day 6 - Friday - Depart
After breakfast it's time to prepare for your journey back to Nairobi. Alternatively you could opt to fly from the Masai Mara to Nairobi on the morning flight (price on request)
