This wild safari adventure includes tracking down incredible creatures. Accompanying you on your journey is one of Somak's expert driver-guides. Groups are limited to no more than six passengers per vehicle, so you are assured of a window seat throughout. If you are travelling with children, exclusive vehicles for sole use of families are available at a reasonable supplement.
Amboseli National Park in southern Kenya is known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. The area is a renowned wildlife conservation area and is home to varied animals including giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and over 400 species of birds. The next stop on your tour is Lake Naivasha a Great Rift Valley lake, renowned for its incredible biodiversity. Discover the vast surroundings of your resort and the freshwater lake, where over 450 species of birds have been documented, offering superb opportunities to observe a diverse array of water birds, including storks, pelicans, and ducks. Your safari culminates with a two-night stay in the renowned Masai Mara, a vast expanse of preserved savannah wilderness located in southwestern Kenya, bordering Tanzania. This iconic destination is home to an impressive array of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and hippos. The area is also a key stop for wildebeest during their spectacular annual migration, which traverses the plains in a breathtaking display of nature's grandeur. Extensions to Mombasa, Lamu, Zanzibar and Mauritius are available.
Day 1 - Sunday - Amboseli
Welcome to Kenya! Upon your arrival at Nairobi Airport, you will be greeted with a warm smile by one of Somak's drivers. After a smooth transfer to Eka Hotel, take a moment to freshen up then enjoy some light refreshments, after which you will be given a short safari briefing to ensure you are properly prepared for your exciting Kenyan safari ahead of your drive to Amboseli. As you leave the city behind, embark on a scenic drive towards Amboseli National Park, located 250 km away at the foot of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro.
You will arrive in time for lunch at you lodge, right alongside the Kimana Gate park entrance. After settling in you will head out for the first of your African game drives in a well-equipped 4x4 in the care of one of our knowledgeable and experienced driver guides. Day 2 - Monday - Amboseli
Rise early for an exhilarating game drive as dawn breaks over Amboseli National Park. Marvel at the large herds of elephants and other wildlife as they come to life in the soft morning light.
After your adventure, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge before spending the day at leisure. Indulge in a soothing spa treatment, relax by the pool, or go on a guided nature walk or bird-watching excursion. Day 3 - Tuesday - Lake Naivasha
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic road transfer from Amboseli to Lake Naivasha (350km). The road trip is a journey that immerses you in the breathtaking landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive in time for a sumptuous lunch at the lodge where you'll drink in the exquisite views and the soothing sounds of nature.
The afternoon is yours to explore the resort's many offerings, including activities for families and children. Unwind with a rejuvenating spa treatment, embark on a biking adventure, or take a leisurely stroll to the lake, where you can indulge in some of the best birdwatching in the region which boasts hundreds of species. The lake is famous for its high populations of hippos, with an estimated 1 500 in the area, making it highly likely you will spot one.Overnight : Enashipai Resort & Spa

Day 4 - Wednesday - Masai Mara
Following an early breakfast, embark on a picturesque journey to the legendary Masai Mara Game Reserve. Covering 270 km, this trip offers more than just a transfer-it's a captivating adventure through diverse landscapes. Stay alert for possible wildlife sightings as you travel into one of the world's most iconic wildlife theatres.
Savour a delicious lunch and take some time to unwind at your camp before venturing out on an exhilarating late-afternoon game drive. Led by one of Somak's experienced driver-guides, you'll explore the diverse terrain with enhanced opportunities to spot the iconic `big five' - lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros. Somak's knowledgeable driver-guides will ensure you have the best opportunities to see a wide range of game from the best vantage point to ensure you have photos which will be the envy of all your family and friends. Day 5 - Thursday - Masai Mara
Immerse yourself in the wonders of the Mara on an early morning game drive as the African bush awakens, followed by a delicious breakfast at camp. After lunch, set out again to explore the Mara's incredible wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.

Experience the magic of the Mara from a whole new perspective with an unforgettable early morning hot air balloon flight. Soar above the vast plains as the sun rises, casting golden hues over the landscape teeming with wildlife. After landing, indulge in a luxurious 'bubbly' bush breakfast in the heart of the wilderness. Continue your adventure with a scenic game drive en route back to camp, where a delectable lunch awaits to complete your extraordinary morning.

Day 6 - Friday - Depart
After breakfast it's time to prepare for your journey back to Nairobi. The road trip is picturesque with much to see. Keep your camera at the ready, for this route offers more opportunities to spot wildlife-perhaps a herd of zebras grazing or a family of elephants crossing your path. Alternatively you could opt to fly from the Masai Mara to Nairobi on the morning flight (price on request)
