Zambian adventures – Combine an exhilarating safari with the mighty Victoria Falls
Zambia is a landlocked country in southern Africa that boasts world heritage sites, incredible wildlife and a vibrant culture. It is also home to one of the most impressive water features in the world, the Victoria Falls. Known locally as ‘The Smoke that Thunders’, the poetry suits as the rumbling pillars of spray can be seen from over 50 kilometres away. It is also one of the seven Natural Wonders of the world.

Our ‘On The Wild Side Plus The Falls’ itinerary is the perfect way to combine a safari to see Zambia’s vast wildlife species with seeing the mighty Victoria Falls.
For the first 5 nights you will be in South Luangwa, which has stunning scenery, a vast variety and density of animals, and is a park that is considered to be one of the most majestic in Africa. Here you will find unspoilt wilderness.
Wildlife spotting
You will have incredible game viewing opportunities which will include animals such as impalas, waterbucks, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants and hippos, just to name a few. Keen birders will find lots of bird life with about 400 species being recorded.
The Luangwa River is the focal point of the park, with lots of hippos and crocodiles. Walking safaris are a very popular option here, bringing you up close to a variety of animals and birds.

You will then move on to Livingstone for 2 nights on a light aircraft flight and from here you can explore the Victoria Falls, one of the largest waterfalls on the planet. A trip to Zambia would not be complete without visiting this sublime natural wonder!
If you are feeling brave you can choose to swim in the devil’s pool, microlight over the Falls, bungee jump off the bridge or white water raft in the Zambezi River which flows into the Falls.
