BIRDWATCHING TOUR
This 15-night tour is a twitcher's delight, with plenty of opportunities for spotting a great variety of common and not so common species of birds.
Visits to a bird sanctuary and national parks will not only let you see a multitude of birds, you also have the opportunity to see a host of wildlife including the magnificent tiger.
There is ample time for sightseeing in some of India's most popular areas. There are temples and forts to see, markets to haggle at, wonderful architecture to captivate you, and the magnificent and romantic Taj Mahal to enthrall you.
Day 1 Delhi
Met and assisted at New Delhi international airport and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Delhi
At 7 am driven to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary (25 km). Explore the various species of birds like brook's leaf walber, Indian courser, sarus, black necked crane, Indian spotted eagle, baikal teal and more. Return to your hotel. Visit Chandni Chowk and the Sikh Temple. Drive past the presidential estate and other government buildings, photo stop at India gate. Return to your hotel.

Day 3 Agra - Bharatpur
Early morning drive to Bharatpur (280 km, approximately 6 hours). En route visit the Okhla Bird Sanctuary, where you have the chance to spot birds like striated babbler, white tailed stonechat, striated grass bird, sarus, greater flamingo. Continue to Agra, visiting the majestic Taj Mahal and Agra Fort before your final drive to Bharatpur for overnight.

Day 4 Bharatpur
Morning and afternoon visits to Bharatpur National Park in a rickshaw.
Some of the lesser known species may be seen in the Bharatpur National Park, namely the jungle bush-quail, marbled teal, greater white-fronted goose, common shelduck, mallard, baikal teal, greater scaup and European roller. Overnight in Bharatpur.

Day 5 Kalakho - Vanaashraya
After breakfast drive to Vanaashraya, stopping en route at Kalakho (200 km, approximately 4.5 hours). Visit the organic farm and dairy farm.
Spot the birds in Kalakho, a few of the species found here are grey partridge, lapwing, sand grouse, woodpecker, Indian weaver bird, humming bird, mineuvets and painted spur fowl. Lunch will be taken at the Umaid Lake Palace before driving to Vanaashraya.

Day 6 Vanaashraya
Morning game drive in Sariska National Park for bird watching. Explore flora and fauna of the National Park. Among the commonly sighted birds at the Sariska National Park are oriental white-eye, small button quail, black ibis, lesser white throat, Eurasian spoonbill, barn owl, common hoopoe, jungle babbler and tawny-bellied babbler. In the afternoon enjoy a village walk and visit a local school.

Day 7 Ranthambore
Depart Vanaashraya after breakfast and drive to Ranthambore (170 km, approximately 4 hours). Ranthambore National Park is one of the biggest and most renowned National Parks in Northern India. A former hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur, today the Ranthambore National Park is a wildlife tourist attraction.

Day 8 Ranthambore
Morning and evening game drives in Ranthambore National Park.
Ranthambore is home to black stork, glossy ibis, savannah nightjar, great thick-knee and Indian courser. Apart from birdwatching, the chances of spotting a tiger are also high.

Day 9 Kumbhalgarh
Early morning drive to Kumbhalgarh (380 km, approximately 8 hours).
Stopping in the countryside for stretching your legs, enjoying lunch and a tea break.

Day 10 Kumbhalgarh
Enjoy an excursion to Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary to see the birds. A few of the bird species found in Kumbhalgarh are changeable hawk eagle, scaly breasted munia, grey junglefowl, Indian scoops owl and plum headed parakeet. In the afternoon, relax by the pool.

Day 11 Narlai
Drive to Narlai (65 km, approximately 2 hours), a beautiful retreat in the countryside. En route visit Ranakpur. In the afternoon visit the Selli Dam - a short drive from Narlai. The dam is home to many species of birds.

Day 12 Narlai
Today you will have the opportunity to explore Narlai village and to interact with the locals. You may wish to visit the nearby temple.

Day 13 Manvar
Drive to Manvar (240 km, approximately 5 hours) and check in at the desert resort. Manvar is an area far from the sights and sounds of urban chaos, and closer to the captivating quiet of rural Rajasthan.

Day 14 Manvar
Visit Khichan village (70 km, approximately 1.5 hours). The village is known for a large number of demoiselle cranes that visit every winter.

Day 15 Jodhpur
Drive to Jodhpur (160 km, approximately 3 hours). Visit the imposing Mehrangarh Fort - perhaps the most magnificent fort in Rajasthan. Also visit Jaswantthada and the local market.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi and continue with your onward arrangements.
