Located in the Oramia Region of south-central Ethiopia, Goba is known as the gateway to Bale National Park, which is less than 10 kilometres southwest of the town centre. Surrounded by the Sanetti Plateau and Bale Mountains, Goba also offers incredible scenery that draws regular tourists to the town. Goba has a population of over 30,000 inhabitants and agriculture plays an important role to the town’s culture. Locals farm crops such as horse beans, field peas, lentils and cereals.
