Day 3 Cairo
Visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation (NMEC), a modern institution tracing the country's heritage through artefacts, interactive displays, and immersive exhibits spanning every era of its long history. The highlight is the Royal Mummies Hall, where the preserved bodies of Egypt's most powerful pharaohs and royals lie in state, offering a rare and intimate window into ancient mummification, sacred ritual, and the lives behind the legends.
Next, visit the Mosque of Sultan Hassan, completed in 1363 and widely considered one of the finest mosques in Egypt for its soaring architecture and richly carved decoration. Within lies the mausoleum where the sultan's sons are buried. Just across the square stands the much younger Al-Rifa'i Mosque, completed in 1912 - beautifully preserved and lavishly adorned. Its tombs hold a Muslim saint who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad, the last royal family of Egypt, and the last Shah of Iran. A day spent in Cairo wouldn't be complete without a visit to the fascinating Khan El-Khalili Bazaar. This is reputably the largest bazaar in the Middle East. Merchants founded it as a watering spot for caravanserai in the 14th century, but it has now grown to vast proportions. Wander through the labyrinth of narrow streets where you will find workshops and stalls selling all manner of craftmanship from woodwork and glassware to leather goods, perfumes, fabrics, and Pharaonic curiosities. Remember to bargain hard! Lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo. Overnight: Flamenco HotelMeals: Breakfast at the hotel, lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo
Day 4 Luxor - Embarkation At Noon
Breakfast at Cairo Hotel.
You will be transported to Cairo Airport for a flight to Luxor (flight not included in the package price) and then transported from Luxor Airport to the cruiser. Morning sightseeing - visit Karnak & Luxor Temples. Visit Karnak Temple, a vast complex built over 2,000 years by generations of pharaohs in honour of the god Amun. Its countless pylons, obelisks, and smaller shrines could take days to explore in full. Walk through the great Hypostyle Hall - a forest of giant pillars soaring 23 metres skyward - and pause beside the Sacred Lake, where priests once purified themselves before sacred rites. At its height, Karnak received annual tribute from more than 65 cities. Then continue to the Temple of Luxor, which was once linked to Karnak by a three-kilometre Avenue of human-headed Sphinxes. Built by Amenhotep III in 1380 BC and expanded by later pharaohs, it hosted the great Festival of Opet, lasting 27 days at its peak. Within its grounds stands the Mosque of Abu'l Haggag, honouring a 13th-century saint still venerated by Luxorians today. Embarkation at Noon, followed by lunch on the cruiser. Dinner on board. Overnight: Jaz Crown PrinceMeals: Breakfast at Cairo hotel, lunch and dinner on board the cruiser
Day 5 Luxor - Edfu
Breakfast on board.
Visit the Valley of the Kings on the west bank of Luxor, where New Kingdom pharaohs were laid to rest in secret tombs after centuries of pyramid robberies forced Egypt's royalty underground. Hidden, richly painted, and filled with treasures for the afterlife, these chambers have kept their splendour intact across more than three thousand years. (Optional) You will have insider access to two of the Valley's most remarkable tombs: The first is the tomb of Seti I, discovered in 1817 to international acclaim. The most completely finished tomb in the entire valley, it was the first to have every passage and chamber richly decorated, setting the standard for every royal tomb that followed. The second tomb to be explored belongs to the boy-king Tutankhamun - a small chamber hidden beneath debris until 1922, its walls painted with scenes from the Book of the Dead. The unprecedented treasures discovered inside (now displayed at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo) cemented Tut's place in history. Then visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut - Egypt's only female pharaoh - whose brilliant white terraces rise dramatically from the desert floor against a backdrop of towering limestone cliffs. Built to honour Hathor, goddess of love, and Anubis, God of the dead, it served both religious and funerary purposes. After her death, her jealous stepson Tuthmosis III defaced her image throughout, in an attempt to erase her memory forever. Sail to Edfu via Esna Lock. Lunch on board. Dinner on board. Overnight in Edfu. Overnight: Jaz Crown PrinceMeals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board the cruiser
Day 6 Edfu & Kom Ombo - Aswan

This Greek-built Temple of Horus, Ancient Egypt's falcon god, whose annual ritual marriage to Hathor of Dendara constituted one of the most important celebrations in the city. Lunch on board as you sail to Kom Ombo. Last stop before arriving in Aswan is Kom Ombo to visit the temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. The river stands at a bend in the Nile where sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the riverbank in ancient times. You will see mummified crocodiles in the chapel of Hathor temple. Dinner on board. Sail on to Aswan. Overnight: Jaz Crown PrinceMeals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board the cruiser
Day 7 Aswan
Breakfast on board.
This morning, visit the Aswan High Dam, one of Egypt's greatest feats of modern engineering. Built in the 1960s, its construction came at a cost: entire Nubian villages and ancient temples now lie submerged beneath Lake Nasser, the largest artificial lake in the world. Today, the dam generates electricity for the entire country. Take a short motorboat ride to visit Philae Temple, which was relocated with the help of UNESCO to its current location on Agilkia Island to save it from the rising waters caused by the construction of the Aswad High Dam. Philae was built in honour of Isis, one of the great mother goddesses of Ancient Egypt. You will also see the Unfinished Obelisk in the Granite Quarries which supplied the ancient Egyptians with most of the hard stone used in the pyramids and temples. A flaw discovered in the stone halted work in ancient times, leaving the enormous unfinished obelisk, which measures almost 42 meters in length, incomplete. Lunch on board. Dinner on board.
