THE BLUE TRAIN
Accommodation:
Depending on configuration, there
are either 41 or 37 suites on board. Each air-conditioned
cabin offers an elegant lounge by day, transformed into
a comfortable bedroom at night. The deluxe suites
(2 adults) offer a choice of twin beds with a shower or a
double bed with a bath. The larger luxury suites (2 adults)
are more spacious and offer a choice of twin beds or
double beds.
Facilities:
Personal service is standard on board the Blue
Train. Every carriage has a butler on call 24 hours a day
to the private cabins. For guests who wish to socialize
with fellow passengers there is a choice of two elegant
bar carriages. All meals are freshly prepared on board
by executive chefs. Lunch and dinner are served in
two sittings, in the dining carriage. Smart dress is
required at dinner and gentlemen are required to wear a
jacket and tie.

Routes:
Pretoria – Cape Town (and vice versa).
Arrive at your departure station where registration takes
place in the Blue Train lounge. Butlers will show you to
your private suite.
Spend time on board relaxing or socializing with fellow
passengers. The journey includes an ‘off train’ escorted
tour. On the Pretoria to Cape Town journey visit
Kimberley where you can take a trip back in time to the
days of the diamond rush, and on the Cape Town to
Pretoria journey you will visit Matjiesfontein, where an
old colonial South Africa comes to life with Victorian
buildings and original 19th century London lampposts.
