Day 2 Colombo Met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight: Galadari Hotel Day 3 Colombo Sightseeing of Colombo with time at leisure to explore at your own pace. Overnight: Galadari Hotel Day 4 Sigiriya Depart for Sigiriya, enjoy a homemade lunch at a local house. Later climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. Overnight: Sigriiya Village Hotel Day 5 Sigiriya After breakfast visit Polonnaruwa, to see the ruins of the Royal Palace, temples and splendid statues of the Buddha. Enjoy an authentic homemade Sri Lankan lunch at a village house. Afternoon enjoy a private 4x4 jeep safari in Minneriya National Park. Overnight: Sigriiya Village Hotel Day 6 Kandy Depart for Kandy. En route visit the Dambulla cave temples and a spice garden in Matale, where you have the opportunity to sample homemade Sri Lankan cuisine. Short sightseeing afternoon tour of Kandy. Later enjoy high tea at Grand Hotel, and an evening walk along Gregory’s Lake.
