See the famous Samadhi Buddha statue, depicting the Buddha in a state of “Samadhi” meaning deep meditation. Overnight: Palm Garden Village Hotel Day 4 Sigiriya Depart for Sigiriya and climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress Overnight: Sigriiya Village Hotel Day 5 Sigiriya After breakfast visit Polonnaruwa, to see the ruins of the Royal Palace, temples and splendid statues of the Buddha.
