As the pioneer of luxury trains in India, the Palace on Wheels provides a splendid and enchanting 7-night journey through Rajasthan. Starting and ending in Delhi, you will visit Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittogarh, Udaipur, Bharatpur and Agra. The Deccan Odyssey offers six different week-long itineraries, the majority of them departing from and arriving back in to Mumbai along Indian Railways' Maharashtra route. Two routes operate between Delhi and Mumbai, with stops at Agra and Jaipur, as well as Udaipur and Sawai Madhopur for Ranthambhore National Park. The Maharajas' Express, regularly voted the most luxurious train in the world, offers five itineraries, all of which depart from and/or arrive in to Delhi. Two further itineraries operate between Mumbai and Trivandrum. The 'Toy Train' is a narrow gauge train from Kalka that meanders through the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas to Shimla in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Visitors to Shimla can see temples, churches and colonial buildings and shop at the local bazaar for handicrafts. Five different trains operate the route and the journey takes approximately five hours. The Shatabdi Express is a comfortable train service provided by the Indian Railways and is a fast passenger train for quick travel between major metropolitan areas, making only a few stops but returning to the place of departure on the same day.
