Otherwise you can also spot wildlife in one of the nearby zoological parks and experience some Buddhist culture in one of the local monasteries. Manali Noted for its fine embroidery, Manali was a former principal gateway on the "Wool Route". It is now recognised as an adventurer's playground for would-be snow skiers and mountain trekkers, as well as those wanting to take to the air or dodge the white water raft currents.
