www.somak.co.uk 25 Lake Nakuru National Park Lake Nakuru National Park is mainly a wooded and bushy grassland with a wide ecological diversity and characteristic habitat that range from the lake waters to the escarpment and ridges. A multitude of animals and birds can be found in Lake Nakuru National Park, including white and black rhinos and the rare Rothschild's giraffes. The nearest flourishing town is Nakuru and from here you can take a day trip to Lake Bogoria. Safari itineraries featuring Great Rift Valley Lakes: All of our suggested Kenya safaris, offer a stop at one of the Great Rift Valley Lakes. Sarova Woodlands Hotel and Spa The hotel is conveniently located off the main Nairobi-Nakuru highway just outside of Nakuru town. There are 147 well-equipped rooms and suites. Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge The lodge overlooks Lake Nakuru and its surrounding National Park, one that is a paradise for bird watchers and wildlife lovers alike.
