Day 2 Windhoek Transferred to your accommodation. Afternoon enjoy a city tour. Overnight: Villa Violet Guesthouse Day 3 Kalahari Desert Depart Windhoek and drive via Rehoboth into the red dunes of the Kalahari Desert. Late afternoon, guided game drive to learn about the flora and fauna of the Kalahari Desert. Overnight: Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch Day 4 Sossuvlei Travel further south via Maltahöhe into the low plains of the Namib Desert to Desert Camp, which is located nearby the entrance gate to the Sossusvlei dunes. Overnight: Desert Camp or Desert Quiver Camp Day 5 Sossuvlei Early morning visit to Sossusvlei, a clay pan surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world. Visit the Sesriem Canyon. Overnight: Desert Camp or Desert Quiver Camp Day 6 Swakopmund Travel north via the Kuiseb Canyon to Swakopmund. Highlights en route include a drive to the “Moon Landscape” and the ancient desert plant, “Welwitschia mirabilis”. This quaint desert town with its old-world charm and relaxed atmosphere, hedged by desert and sea, is enhanced by lush green lawns and palm trees. Overnight: Swakopmund Guesthouse Day 7 Swakopmund Morning dolphin cruise on the Walvis Bay Lagoon. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight: Swakopmund Guesthouse Days 8–9 Damaraland Travel along the Atlantic Coast towards the north. Visit the lichen fields near Wlotzka’s Baken before continuing to Henties Bay. Onwards to the seal colony at Cape Cross and continue via Ugabmund to the southern Skeleton Coast Park to view a shipwreck. Depart via Springbok Water and experience the harsh transition from the Namib Desert to the Damaraland highlands with its impressive landscape and ragged valleys. Overnight: Palmwag Lodge Days 10–11 Etosha National Park Continue to the Etosha National Park, a wilderness experience that is unmatched in terms of privacy and landscape. Next day, game drives in the park and visit the numerous waterholes that attract a large diversity of animal and bird species, many of these being endemic to the country. Overnight: Taleni Etosha Village Day 12 Etosha National Park Another day to discover the African bush in Etosha National Park, whilst travel in an easterly direction via Halali and Namutoni to Mokuti Lodge.
