Overnight: Southern Sun Elangeni Day 3 Full day Shakaland Tour Experience traditional culture and customs at the largest Zulu kraal in all of Zululand. Sample a traditional Zulu beer, visit their huts and witness the skills and artistry of the craftsmen who make spears, shields, beadwork, and pots. The Zulu dancers will thrill with their grace and energy. A fully escorted tour by a registered KwaZulu-Natal guide. Day 5 Battlefields Pick up your Avis Car Hire – Group B – VW Polo or similar for next 3 days. The vehicle can be delivered to the hotel for an extra cost, or make your way to the nearest Avis office (Located at the Royal Hotel, approximately 10 minutes cab ride away from the Southern Sun Elangeni). On the way to the Battlefields, we suggest making a stop in Howick at the The Nelson Mandela Capture Site, a cultural and historical exhibition that is situated at the site where Nelson Mandela was apprehended for his anti-Apartheid activism acts in August 1952. Another favourite stop would be lunch at the Blueberry Café. Overnight: Rorke’s Drift Hotel. Day 6 Battlefields A full day tour of the Battlefields. KwaZulu- Natal is rich in Anglo-Zulu war history, where two of the most famous, at times heart wrenching battles fought between the Zulu and British Armies took place. Guests will visit the eerie battlefields of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift. Fully escorted tour by a registered KwaZulu-Natal guide. Overnight: Rorke’s Drift Hotel.
